Australian Cattle Dog Herding Sheep
Dave Imas, our shepherd for this year’s Highland Games, began working with an Australian Cattle Dog but now works with Border Collies. Dave has worked with stock dogs since 2000. He and his dogs compete all over North America. In 2017, Dave was a member of the team representing the United States at the World Sheepdog Trials at Hoogwoud in The Netherlands.
Dave and his wife own a farm in Cheney, WA, where they train their dogs on their flock of 140 sheep. They host trials, clinics, and private lessons at their farm.
