Piping & Drumming
The Spokane Highland Games Association (SHGA) offers competitions for pipe bands (see Pipe Band Events and Rules), and for individual piping and drumming (see Individual Piping and Drumming Events and Rules), on the first Saturday of August each year, during the Spokane Scottish Highland Games.
Pipe band competition takes place in the early afternoon. Individual piping and drumming competition takes place in the morning. See Pipe Band Events and Rules for details of competition, travel money and prize money.
For additional pipe band and individual piping and drumming competition information, contact John Blunt at (509) 951-4427 or [email protected].
The Spokane Scottish Highland Games Pipes and Drum Committee is offering to all competing bands an additional fee for the provision of an exhibition performance, in addition to the band competition performance, as designated by the Pipe Band chairperson. This performance is ungraded, for the enjoyment of the Games’ patrons and may, at the band’s discretion, include tunes or instrumentations not traditionally seen in traditional Pipe Band competitions. Dancers may also be included.
